Williamston Elementary Snack Drive

Here at Berg Insurance Services we are committed to giving back and helping our communities. To achieve this, we have had an ongoing initiative to collect and donate healthy snacks for the Williamston Elementary Schools. The reality of the situation is that many families and children in the community have a need for better food. They may struggle to get balanced and nutritious foods into their diets. There are multiple factors that affect this ranging from the price of foods, to a stigma that are stopping families from asking for help. So how can you help? Leslie Middle School Grand Presentation

Leslie Middle School Awarded ACF Grant

Leslie Middle School awarded a $2,000 grant to fight childhood food insecurity by the Agent Charitable Fund. Steve Berg nominated Leslie Middle School for the grant and is a proud supporter of Leslie’s efforts to combat childhood hunger. As Berg says, “Pat Weber, the principal at Leslie Middle School, is one of my insureds, neighbors, and friends. He shared with me the deep need in his school building and asked what I could do to help him meet the need. With the help of this grant, we can guarantee no student will be without a snack for the rest of the year.”

Coaches vs Cancer

Coaches vs Cancer

During Coaches vs Cancer at Williamston High School, we were able to raise awareness for the American Cancer Society and collected about $400 worth of snacks and $209 in cash to purchase more snacks. This will be helpful for elementary schools who are challenged with having enough snacks for kids.
